In September Morgan Katz,
an OSU sophomore and I interviewed school and clinic staff to give them
an opportunity to go on record with personal thoughts and feelings about
their work in Campeche/Dumay. Here are some of their comments.
We will be featuring a
few employees at a time on this website. Our hope is to try to create
interest in supporting the work of these individuals by paying a yearly
salary. A one-time contribution of $720.00 can help support a Community
Health Worker for a year; $1,000 can help support a teacher.
Thank you!

Soeurette Mie Breval:
Community Health Worker.
“I like my job supervising the patients in taking medication; but I also
work hard to make sure that new HIV patients who need treatment actually
come in to the clinic and get help.”
|
Louis
Jean Evens: Teacher.
“This work that I am doing is helping to reduce the rate of illiteracy
in the country. Too many children in Haiti don’t go to school. I am
proud to have the opportunity to take the responsibility to educate them
to become better citizens.”

Jean Jude Dieudonne:
Comptroller/Accountant.
“Health is riches everyone should have.
I like working for an organization that helps people who cannot pay big
money for health care. In addition this organization gives education
that is free of charge. Health and education are two of the most
important things for a person in my opinion. For these two reasons I
feel good about this job.” |
Jean Franck Bruny: Director/Principal of
Bethel School Of
Dumay.
My work is teaching and I have done it for many years. I taught Jean
Jude Dieudonne (left) and others working here; and they are pillars of
the organization. When students come back to Dumay and they are lawyers
or engineers, I am very proud!
