2011 Granville Art From The Heart

Sunday, May 1st brought together art lovers and many Central Ohio supporters of Healing Art Missions for the 14th annual Art From The Heart, an auction of Haitian Art. For the first time the event was held at the historic Bryn Du Mansion in Granville, Ohio. This beautiful and elegant venue proved to be the perfect location for displaying the wide range of Haitian art offered at the silent auction this year. Over 140 items were on display, including sculpture, woven baskets, wood bowls by Einstein Albert, metal work by renowned metal artists such as Serge Jolimeau, and many paintings including several by Hilome Jose.

Between 250 and 300 people attended the four hour free event that featured wine, ice tea, lemonade and a delicious selection of hors o'doeuvres donated by Mali's Specialties and several volunteers. Live music was provided by local roots rockers, The RECLINERS, featuring Tom Carroll, Any Carlson, and Paul Richards.

This years auction brought in close to $8,000 in support of HAM's ongoing projects in Haiti. Heartfelt thanks go out to all those who attended and supported this event, especially our AMAZING VOLUNTEERS, without whom Art From The Heart would not be.
